Composer and performer Pericles Kanaris on “Our Town” | 28 July 2025, 22:00

On Monday, 28 July 2025, from 22:00 to 23:00 Athens time, the program “Our Town” will host composer and singer Pericles Kanaris.

The inspired artist will talk about his creative projects, his collaborations with notable musicians, and his specialization in the philosophy of music and its communicative nature.

He will also speak about the awards he has received from major institutions, the venues he has performed at both in Greece and abroad, and his musical settings of poetry by Eliot, Cavafy, Eleftheriou, and others.

There will be mention of well-known Greek performers who have interpreted his work, such as Papakonstantinou, Makedonas, Antonopoulou, and Karakosta.

In the studio, Kanaris will also discuss the Greek diaspora, including his project “Operation Innocence”, which premiered at Carnegie Hall in New York.
Upcoming concerts in Andros and Syros will also be highlighted.
