“Cypriot Artists”: Vakia Stavrou | 02 June 2025, 22:00

On Monday, June 2, at 10 p.m., the program “Our Town”, as part of the series “Cypriot Artists”, will feature Vakia Stavrou, the acclaimed singer described as “an artist of unique finesse who immediately captivates the listener with the beauty of her voice.”

The internationally renowned Cypriot singer and songwriter will reflect on the invaluable experience of her advanced music studies at the Prague Conservatory and the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp in Belgium. She will also speak about her collaborations with major international record labels that have played a key role in her discography and global recognition.

The episode will explore her performances in major European cities and prestigious venues, where she sings in six languages, always creating a unique connection with her audience.

Vakia Stavrou will share thoughts on her beloved hometown, Nicosia, the local artistic scene, her favorite cities, and her upcoming projects.

The broadcast will feature songs from her album Vakia, as well as her hit track Sozinha, written in Portuguese by the artist herself and widely played on Greek and international radio.
