On Saturday, 09 May 2026, from 12:00 to 13:00 (Athens time), the Voice of Greece program “Our Town” with Themis Rodamitis welcomes two distinguished composers and musicians: Dimitris Tsakas and Alexandros-Drakos Ktistakis. The two guests will speak live in the studio about their important presence on both the Greek and international jazz scene.
Dimitris Tsakas will discuss his upcoming performances, as well as his role as curator of the musical evenings hosted at the Goulandris Museum. He will also talk about his latest album, Conversation Helps, a work that reflects the philosophy of collaboration and has received praise for its originality. In addition, he will share memories of his personal and unique relationship with Vangelis Papathanassiou.
Alexandros-Drakos Ktistakis will speak about his participation in numerous recordings in both the Greek and international discography, his work as an educator, and the renowned artists he has collaborated with as both drummer and composer. He will also discuss the artistic direction and musical composition of the production of Lysistrata staged by the National Theatre of Shanghai.
The two artists will also refer to their forthcoming participation in the Venice Biennale.
