The Voice of Greece programme “Sound Portraits”, hosted by Stavroula Karali, follows the rhythm of Eurovision — from Marinella in 1974 to the present day. In the second of the tribute, airing on Tuesday, 05 May 2026, at 22:00 (Athens time), Greece’s journey in the contest unfolds through major successes as well as moments that sparked discussion.
Fifty-two years of Eurovision, with all their highs and lows — successes, withdrawals, eliminations, and stories that left their mark: a great Greek singer who, in difficult times, took to the stage despite threats; a much-loved entry whose course was unexpectedly altered at the last moment; and a performance defined by a striking close-up that captured not only the Eurovision audience, but also the evening’s director.
All this and more, through carefully selected archival material, capturing the pulse of the Eurovision Song Contest and the most emblematic moments of Greece’s participation.
