Greek Music Express, the English-language music program of Voice of Greece, makes a weekend stop at “Musical Suburbs” speaking Greek!
Following the same approach –tributes to prominent figures, movements, and themes of Greek song– driven by the same love for music and its people, hosted by Hercules Economou.

This Saturday, September 20, the program presents a tribute to the set-to-music poetry of Manolis Anagnostakis. Two occasions mark the event: the centenary of the poet’s birth this year, and the release of the volume «Ο μελοποιημένος Αναγνωστάκης: Όμως εγώ δεν παραδέχθηκα την ήττα» (The Set-to-Music Anagnostakis: Yet I Did Not Admit Defeat) by Metronomos Publications.

The journey continues on Sunday, September 21, when we celebrate the UN’s International Day of Peace, listening to both classic and contemporary anti-war songs.
