Jewelry artist Maria Apostolopoulou on “Human Landscapes” | 09 Dec. 2025, 22:00

The human impulse to adorn life, to leave a trace in eternity, to shape identity, to tell and share one’s story, to offer gratitude and pray for the gift of existence…

As the year approaches its close, Voice of Greece’s program “Human Landscapes”, hosted by Victoria Kavouriari, welcomes jewelry artist Maria Apostolopoulou. In her work she carries forward the traditions of gem carving and seal engraving, inscribing contemporary myths, images, and symbols onto crystals. Her creations seem to converse with raw materials and techniques akin to those of the Ancient Greeks who, in their own time, continued the human story—just as prehistoric peoples once etched their reality onto cave walls and rock surfaces.

An alphabet of immortality, holding within it the anxieties and aspirations of humankind for a new year marked by creativity, health, beauty, and inner richness. A journey not unlike that of precious stones themselves, traveling across the centuries from the depths of the earth into the light.

Produced and presented by Victoria Kavouriari
