Journalism under pressure: Inside the 18th ARIJ Investigative Journalism Forum | 21 Dec. 2025, 11:00

This Sunday on ERT’s Voice of Greece, “Infinitely Curious” travels to Amman, following the pulse of the 18th ARIJ (Arab Investigative Journalism) Annual Forum 2025 — where journalists from across the Arab world and beyond came together not to celebrate the craft, but to defend it.

With newsrooms under strain, truth under attack and technology rewriting the rules, one message stood out:

Journalism doesn’t survive by comfort and surrender — it survives by courage.

Voice of Greece radio presenter Katerina Batzaki speaks with Rawan Damen, Director General of ARIJ, and Samya Ayish, Communication Manager of the organization, about resilience, innovation, trust and the price — and power — of telling the truth today.

Featuring reflections from the ARIJ Investigative Journalism Awards, this episode reminds us why investigative reporting still matters: not for applause, but for responsibility and accountability.

Produced and presented by Katerina Batzaki
Broadcast: Sunday 21 December 2025, 11:00-12:00 am. (Athens time)
