Mikis Theodorakis as Performer | 23 Aug. 2025, 12:00

On Saturday, 23 August 2025, from 12:00 to 13:00 Athens time, the program “Our Town” will showcase special interpretive moments of Mikis Theodorakis.

The great composer uniquely performed some of his own songs — in concerts, in the studio, with small or large orchestras, and at times on the historic piano in Nea Smyrni.

The broadcast will feature some of the finest examples of this lesser-known side of the composer: a significant and deeply personal poetic interpretation, from his very first appearance as a singer (Lipotaktes) to rare recordings of his songs.

Tune in and experience Mikis Theodorakis as a performer.

Produced and presented by Themis Rodamitis

Broadcast: Saturday, 23 August, at 12:00 Athens time – with a repeat on Sunday, 24 August, at 04:00.
