“Our Town” welcomes Eftychia Mitritsa and  Vasia Vougioukli | 28 Mar. 2026, 12:00

On Saturday 28 March 2026, from 12:00 to 13:00 (Athens time), “Our Town” welcomes to the studio of Voice of Greece the talented singers and songwriters Eftychia Mitritsa and Vasia Vougioukli.

Eftychia Mitritsa will talk about her major collaborations with leading figures of Greek music, including Stelios Mamangakis, Giorgos Dalaras, Manolis Lidakis and Dimitris Zervoudakis, as well as her concerts in Greece and abroad. She will also make special reference to her collaboration with renowned director Lee Breuer, where she performed as a lead dancer in Aeschylus’ Choephoroi, along with her discography and her television appearance in the series Agries Melisses (“Wild Bees”) and the musical performance “The Eternal Women.”

Vasia Vougioukli will speak about her relationship with Greek song, her studies in music and dance, and her collaborations with well-known songwriters. She will also discuss her album Kaimaki and her live project “Inside the Mind of Nikos Xydakis.” She will reflect on Greek song, emerging songwriters, poetry, the evolution of lyrics, and the future of Greece’s musical tradition.

Both guests will also talk about their work in music education and their teaching in music schools.
