Stelios Mainas on his latest book about the world of seafarers | 26 Jan. 2026, 12:00

On Saturday, 24 January 2026, from 12:00 to 13:00 (Athens time), the Voice of Greece program “Our Town” welcomes Stelios Mainas for an in-depth and wide-ranging conversation with Themis Rodamitis.

The award-winning actor and author will speak about his latest book, “Arodou”, which delves into the world of seafarers. The discussion will also explore his earlier books—works that stood out for their originality, earned critical acclaim, and were warmly received by readers—as well as the many significant films in which he has appeared.

Stelios Mainas will also reflect on his relationship with radio, his distinctive narrative voice, and his experiences in television. References will be made to his close connection with rebetiko, Greek folk song, and rock music.
