On Monday, 25 August 2025, from 22:00 to 23:00 (Athens time), the program “Our Town” will present the second part of the tribute to the musical collaboration of Theodorakis and Lagios.
The two composers were friends, lived in the same neighborhood “in the shadow of the Acropolis,” and shared similar musical and aesthetic tastes. Between them, there was mutual respect, love, admiration, and companionship. Both cherished poets and set their works to music with inspiration and reverence.
Nature lovers, with a particular affection for the sea, which was a primary source of inspiration for them. They were also politically aware and sensitive to issues of social justice, as well as philosophical and cultural matters, for which they fought in their daily lives.
An engaging program where one song “converses” with another, emphasizing Mikis Theodorakis’s ballads alongside Lagios’s Erotic Rehearsal, which come together to create a unique musical and aesthetic landscape.
Guests on “Our Town” will be Margarita Theodoraki and Peggy Lagios.
