Marilena Katsimi

Marilena Katsimi was born in Athens in 1970. She has studied Media and Communication, Political Science and Theatrology in Berlin, and Modern History at Panteion University. Since 1999 she has been working at ERT as a news show presenter and editor-in-chief of historical documentaries. She was in charge of portokaliradio.gr, the radio that highlighted the solidarity structures in crisis-ridden Greece. She collaborates with organizations that aim to halt the rise of far-right parties and combat xenophobia and homophobia. She is a researcher for the Council of Europe and the EU in a project to combat antigypsyism. She presents the show “Historical Walks” on Voice of Greece.
