71 Years Ago: The Devastating Earthquakes in Kefalonia, Zakynthos, and Ithaca | 12 Aug. 2024

On August 12, 2024, it has been 71 years since the most catastrophic earthquakes in the history of the Ionian Islands. From August 9 to 12, 1953, Kefalonia, Ithaca, and Zakynthos were nearly completely leveled.
