Captain Antonis Fytousis from the village of Pitious in northern Chios spoke to “Fair Winds and Following Seas” about his beloved village with 47 residents and the reasons he pursued a career in the navy.
“It’s a very lucrative profession, that’s why I turned to the sea, which is one of my great passions. Young people today are turning to it, and this is quite encouraging. Companies should also help more young people in their absorption and make use of the future of our homeland,” says Captain Antonis, among other things.
