The experienced captain Kostas Andriotis from Kardamyla, Chios talks about his childhood in Chios and the Livanio Gymnasium where he finished first and his first barque with the Lebanese ship “Pearl Greek”, where he started as a youngster and stayed for five years.
He climbed on hierarchy and became a captain through many trips, knowledge, experiences and memories from his long course at sea, but also the offices he worked there as well. “At sea and on ships you have to have respect, discipline, patience and a schedule”, says Captain Kostas, while he says that “at the end of life at sea and the ships I love, I cherish the good times, memories, all the good things in general”
