Along with news, reflections, and songs of the sea and shipping, “Fair Winds and Following Seas” also shared the poem “Pano Sta Kymata” (“Upon the Waves”) by veteran captain Kostas Fragos from Kardamyla, Chios, which he dedicates to all sailors.
Πάνω στα κύματα
«Μια ζωή μεταξύ ουρανού και θάλασσας, πάνω στα κύματα ταξιδεύω.
Φουρτούνες, ομίχλες, κεραυνοί και καταιγίδες με κυνηγάνε.
Το καράβι σχίζει τ’ αφρισμένα κύματα και κουπαστάρει.
Πολύ αγάπησα την πλανεύτρα γαλανομάτα θάλασσα.
Κι αν είχα δεύτερη ζωή, στα καράβια πάλι θα γυρνούσα
και τη δουλειά του ναυτικού θα ακολουθούσα».
