The Coordinator of the “Blue Flag” program, Dareia-Nepheli Vourdoumpa from the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature, speaks on “Fair Winds and Following Seas” and VOICE OF GREECE.
We talked about the six (6) beaches awarded by the International Environmental Education, Awareness, and Information Program “Blue Flag,” which have been removed from the national and international list for 2024 and lost their award because they either were not organized for this swimming season or did not meet the strict criteria of the program, as determined by the evaluations so far.
At the same time, Ms. Vourdoumpa provided an assessment of this year’s summer season, which is gradually coming to an end, and explained how the “Blue Flag” institution operates in our country and what our position is in the global ranking in terms of the number of flags.
