On this episode of Greek Jazz Players, we meet the historic group of Pyros Ether.
It is a jazz-ethnic music group, one of the first in our country created in 1994. They study Greek rhythms and traditional themes, along with contemporary improvisational music, creating an original material based on the compositions of its members, but also on well-known themes from folk tradition and the Jazz anthology.
Thracian rhythms interact with Latin rhythms and Kalamata dances and proud dances are played with Jazz influences, creating original sounds.
In the ensembles studio we meet Vasilis Saltikis on saxophone, Giorgos Fotiadis on trombone, Dimitris Korontzis on guitar, Petros Stamelos on bass and Grigoris Melakis on drums.
