Thesia Panagiotou, Thymios Papadopoulos, Alexandros Hahalis

Thesia Panagiotou: First Prize for Best Soundtrack at the Thessaloniki Film Festival, 1989, for Oh Babylon, directed by Costas Feris. First Prize for Best Soundtrack at the Ankara Film Festival, 1992, for Seni seviyorum Rosa, directed by Icil Ozgenturk. Thesia was born in Cyprus and studied at the Cyprus Music Academy. After moving to Greece, she studied at the Musical Academy of Northern Greece and taught Vocal Expression for Ancient Drama to the actors of the National Theatre in Athens.

Some people may not even know the name of Thymios Papadopoulos, but in the music community he is very well known! Woodwind virtuoso (saxophone, clarinet and flute, with serious studies in Greece but also in America) with a preference for jazz but very competent in almost all other idioms. Thymios is one of the first in our country to deal not only with playing, but also with the programming of synthesizers and other electronic sound sources.

Greek born composer Alexandros Hahalis, whose childhood dream was to become an astronaut, moved to New York in 1980 and studied classical composition at Aaron Copland School of Music. His debut work ‘Antithesis’, in May 1989, reached the US top 10 charts of New Age / Electronic music. Since then he was commissioned to compose & perform for major artists, venues and festivals around the world.
