Announcing the death of Chronis Aidonidis on the 23^rd of October, Apostolos Efremidis, President of the Chronis Aidonidis Archive of Musicological Tradition, noted: “Our beloved Master Chronis Aidonidis is no longer with us. At the age of 95 and after 75 years of continuous service and contribution to teaching, rescuing, spreading and recording the musical tradition of Thrace, he is heading to Heaven, leaving behind valuable musical recordings and four generations of students and associated who will perpetuate his name, vision and teaching”.
