What is our ‘doctrine’ and unifying principle here at GME? Well, probably the assertion that Greek music and song are multi-dimensional, fascinating, with many hidden treasures that are yet to be discovered. This music of course includes bouzouki and syrtaki and other popular sounds, but it is also much more than that, expanding on multiple areas and genres. This week, we are highlighting the magic of one such area, Greek rock, and in particular some of its greatest live recordings. Live is just so much better than the studio when it comes to vibes and energy, given the presence of audience and the sound of an integrated orchestra playing together.
