Heliotrope with Giannis Papoutsakis

On November 21, the Greek Orthodox church celebrates the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On the occasion of this significant celebration, Giannis Papoutsakis presents a tribute to the Virgin Mary on the broadcasting program “Heliotrope”, through poems written by renowned poets about her holy figure. Famous actress Olga Mourgela reads poetry by Nikos Kazantzakis, Kostas Varnalis, Constantine Cavafy, Labros Porfyras, Mattheos Mountes, and others, while songs praising the Virgin Mary are also featured, by the following artists: Mikis Theodorakis, Stavros Xarchakos, Manos Hadjidakis, Loukas Thanos, Apostolos Kaldaras, sung by Grigoris Bithikotsis, Nikos Xylouris, Flery Dadonaki, Giannis Poulopoulos, George Dalaras, Afroditi Manou and Maria Dimitriadi
