83-year-old Captain Aristidis Rouvelas from Archangelos, Laconia, tells us how, starting from a small caique named “ARCHANGELOS”, his father and later the whole family managed, with refrigerated fishing vessels, to reach several regions across the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, and countries in West Africa.
“My father built the first frozen fishing vessel in Perama around 1957. We managed to have 10 reefer fishing ships, each with a crew of at least 35 people,” says Captain Aristidis Rouvelas.
