Captain Simos Bratis, a promotion manager at a shipping company; his son, Nikos Bratis, a lawyer specializing in maritime law based in Cyprus; and Captain Giorgos Matthaios speak on “Fair Winds and Following Seas” on Voice of Greece.
All three share a common point of reference: their beloved island, the seafaring island of Andros.
“The sea is a great love for us. Our path toward it was predestined. We have never regretted devoting ourselves to it. We are grateful to the sea, just as we are grateful to Voice of Greece, which has kept us company at sea over the years and continues to do so. Not everyone can become a sailor. If we were 18 again, we would still choose the sea. The sea gives you sweet bread, however difficult the conditions may be,” they say characteristically.
