On “Fair Winds and Following Seas”, airing on Voice of Greece, Deputy Mayor for Planning and Sustainable Development of the Municipality of Piraeus Dimitris Karydis and economist–collector–author Giannis Vasilakis—whose work is currently on display at the city’s Municipal Art Gallery—discuss the sea, the spirit of Piraeus, and the 2025 Sea Days.
Now in its 11th year, Sea Days is the city’s flagship celebration of openness and maritime identity—one of Piraeus’ most popular and successful cultural events. From 26 May to 8 June, the city hosts over 120 free events celebrating its deep connection with the sea, its rich cultural heritage, and its modern urban rhythm.
