Two distinguished guests guide us through the fascinating world of Posidonia on Voice of Greece, in the program “Fair Winds and Following Seas – Saturday Shift.”
Emilia Papachristou, Managing Director, and Maria Fotou, Marketing Manager—both from Posidonia Exhibitions S.A.—share their insights and experience.
The guests take us on a journey through the history of Posidonia, tracing its evolution into one of the most emblematic institutions in global shipping. How did it begin, and what led to its international prominence? As they note, “Posidonia has reached where it is today through hard work, dedication, and a deep love for shipping—the backbone of the Greek economy.”
They also offer a preview of Posidonia 2026, taking place from 1 to 5 June at Metropolitan Expo. The exhibition—widely regarded as the largest of its kind worldwide—will feature 2,038 exhibitors from 138 countries and attract thousands of visitors from across the globe. Key topics to be highlighted include artificial intelligence (AI), nuclear and alternative energy sources, decarbonization, and emerging technologies, through a rich program of conferences, seminars, and presentations.
They also reflect on their personal connection to the sea, their professional journeys, and how they entered the shipping industry, emphasizing that while the sector offers vast opportunities, it requires commitment, passion, and hard work.
