Mr. Maragkoudakis speaks about the first official sailing event of the summer, the Posidonia Cup, taking place in Faliron Bay on 29–30 June, as part of Posidonia 2026, the world’s largest shipping exhibition, featuring more than 2,000 exhibitors from 138 countries.
He also discusses the internationally renowned sailing race AEGEAN 600, which will be held in Greece from 01 to 11 July. He describes the demanding 600-nautical-mile route across the Aegean Sea, the participating crews and the distinctive characteristics of this major offshore sailing competition.
He also talks about the Aegean Rally, the second-oldest sailing race in the Mediterranean, scheduled to begin on 20 July.
Finally, Mr. Maragkoudakis reflects on his unique experience participating with his yacht Water Pirate in the Atlantic crossing during ARC 2000.
