Manos Achalinotopoulos considered by critics as the best clarinet performer of the new generation in Greece, was born and grew up in Athens. He started learning the flute and clarinet from a very early age. Manos Achalinotopoulos has travelled -playing clarinet, cawal and flutes- in more than 20 countries all over the world, while participating in concerts and festivals of great prestige. As for Giorgos Mangas, he was interested in music from a young age and learned to play the flute at first and the clarinet later completely on his own. At the age of eighteen, he began
playing in provincial shops and festivals and accompanied notable names of Greek traditional and folk music. His fame quickly spread beyond the Greek borders; he has appeared at many festivals in France, Germany, Belgium, Canada and elsewhere.
