John Faraclas, shipping analyst, former professor of maritime studies, Chios Marine Club member, author and co-founder of allaboutshipping.co.uk, joins “Fair Winds and Following Seas” on Voice of Greece.
He discusses the 5th World Maritime Conference in Malta and the issues explored there, noting that shipping professionals from Greece accounted for half of all participants. He also reflects on the panel he moderated, “The digital revolution in shipping,” and the implications of rapid technological change for the industry.
Faraklas also addresses the safety of seafarers and Greek ships amid the crises in the Red Sea and the Black Sea, as well as piracy in various parts of the world.
