Emilia Papachristou, Managing Director of Posidonia Exhibitions S.A., spoke on the program “Fair Winds and Following Seas.”
She guided listeners through the venue and conveyed the atmosphere of the world’s leading international shipping exhibition, which is once again taking place in Athens from 01 to 05 June 2026.
“We have entered the final stretch and everything is progressing smoothly. One pavilion after another is being set up, and the effort of the past two years is finally taking shape. We have more participants than last time, as Greece will welcome 2,227 exhibitors from 83 countries this year, along with thousands of visitors connected to the shipping industry.
There will be conferences and seminars focusing on geopolitics, technology, maritime finance, artificial intelligence, alternative fuels, nuclear energy, maritime education, regulatory frameworks, women’s employment in shipping, and many other topics.
At the same time, several sporting events are also taking place as part of Posidonia 2026, including the POSIDONIA CUP in the Faliro Bay area, a cycling race, a road race, golf tournaments, basketball and football tournaments, and more,” Ms. Papachristou noted, among other things.
