“Remarkable Personalities” continues its journey through the history of Greek rock music, exploring the stories of the people who shaped the genre and the songs that defined entire generations.
In the second part of this special tribute, Stavroula Karali once again welcomes journalist and author Giannis Alexiou, whose book Pioneers of Greek Rock (Ogdoo Music Group) serves as the starting point for a conversation spanning more than three decades of musical creativity, from the mid-1960s through the 1990s.
This episode focuses on the period during which the Greek rock scene came into its own, developed a distinct artistic identity, expanded its audience, and engaged creatively with other musical genres while preserving its social consciousness and the power of its message.
