1922 in the Press – Part 6 | Narratives

Tune in on Saturday 5 August to listen to the new episode of Maria Karagiannaki’s Narratives, the 6th part of the show’s anniversary tribute to the Asia Minor Catastrophe, and find out how the series of events that led to the uprooting of Greeks from Asia Minor was reflected in press reports.

From the collection of the archives of the daily press and journals of the Library of Parliament, the show presents the newspaper headlines of the period of 1922.

The show also presents evidence of the 1922 era, relating to later periods until today.

Also, reference is made to some of the rare and valuable documents of the newspapers published by the Greek soldiers on the Asia Minor front.
