| This unique cultural space, which also operates as a publishing house and a venue for events and multiple performances, is located in the heart of Paris and is a point of reference for the Greeks of the city but also for many French art lovers. In the studio, Yiiannis Mavroidakos, the founder of “Desmos” (which celebrates 40 years of operation this year) will refer to the special moments he has lived there, the rich archive of the bookstore and the educational events he organizes. Special mention will be made to personalities who loved “DESMOS” and participated in its events. These personnalities include the leading philhellene, Jacques Lacarrière, Roviros Manthoulis, Kostas Axelos, Aris Fakinos, Adonis Kyrou, Vassilis Alexakis, Menis Angelopoulos and Lily Masson, Eudes Dominique and many more. Giannis Mavroidakos will present some aspects of these personalities by drawing “small human portraits”. The guest will enliven the atmosphere of previous decades in the area of Desmos and in Paris in general, while he will describe to us with whom he would like to have an imaginary meeting today, in a city café. |
