Dimitris Zervoudakis visits ”Our Town” | 07 Apr. 2024, 12:00

On Sunday, April 7th, 12:00-14:00 Athens time the show “Our Town” will host Dimitris Zervoudakis.

The important songwriter, invited to the studio, will talk about his first band, Neoi Epivates that impressed Yannis Markopoulos and was the reason for their collaboration, but also for his key collaborations with other important creators in the field.

The guest artist will make special reference to his city, Thessaloniki, its personalities (Argyris Bakirtzis, Dinos Christianopoulos, Sakis Papadimitriou, Nikos Papazoglou, Dionysis Savvopoulos etc.) as well as to the many new bands that “bloom” there today.

He will talk about his love for rebetiko but also for rock, about the fairy tales he listened to as a child in Navarinou Square, which for him is the middle of the world. He will tell us that the city for him is a “glass ship” and “birds are love and trees”.

He will talk to us about his audience, the collectives, the social struggles, the politics that interests him mainly for human rights and for safeguarding cultural life in our country.

The show will feature songs from all his journey that were loved and brought him to a special spot on the country’s musical map.
