On Sunday, May 12th, at 12:00-14:00 Athens time, the show “Our Town” will pay tribute to the musical ensemble ‘Encardia’.
It has been 20 years since the band first introduced us to the traditional songs of the Greek-speaking regions of Southern Italy.
We have been moved by the folk songs of love and emigration in the local dialect Southern Italian dialect (Grico) and we have followed them on their trips to Southern Italy.
In the studio, Kostas Konstantatos, founding member of Encardia, will talk to us about their unique course so far, their numerous concerts throughout Greece and abroad, their important musical-theatrical productions, their large discography as well as about the documentary that has been made about them.
Members of the band will participate in the show, while personalities from the world of music will talk about their artistic contribution and characteristic songs of Encardia will be heard.
