Greek Music Express: Play Bouzouki – Christos Nikolopoulos | 11 April 2024

The beautiful bouzouki tunes that we shall be listening to belong primarily to three albums of Christos Nikolopoulos titled Folk Passages, Roads of the East and Cyclamens of Mount Olympus. The last album, released in 1997, also hosts the fantastic Florina Brass Band. Now, today’s tracklist includes instrumentals only, but do keep in mind that Nikolopoulos has also composed hundreds of songs! It is just that we wish to highlight the effort that Nikolopoulos has put into producing an instrumental repertoire for the bouzouki that goes beyond the image of the instrument as a tourist attraction.
