Angelos Pantouvakis, Uni. of Piraeus Dean, on “Saturday Shift” | 29 June 2024, 08:00

Angelos Pantouvakis, Dean and professor at the University of Piraeus, is a guest on the Saturday special episode of the show “Fair Winds and Following Seas” with Antonis Karagiannakis. Mr. Pantouvakis listens, teaches and helps in his own way the young people who want to follow the maritime profession and be active in the field of shipping.

He says characteristically: “Out of the Greek-owned shipping industry, about a thousand of our ships have the Greek flag. Young people want to work in our 700-800 shipping companies dreaming and studying on this subject. We are by their side and want to attract as many young men and women as possible to staff this field. Because the economy and our country need them.”

Dean Pantouvakis talks about green development, the Greekness of ships, where our shipping is going and of course about technology and artificial intelligence, stating that “the technological future in the field of shipping will be extremely advanced and we will see many new things at a fast pace. Also, the office will become an office of the future, keeping up with the evolution of ships.”

A special radio journey not to be missed.

The show is broadcast on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 08:00 in the morning and repeated at 20:00 in the evening.

Produced and presented by Antonis Karagiannakis
