On Wednesday July 23, at 15:00 Athens time, “The Elves of Tradition” travel to Chios Mountain and Livestock Festival, which is organized for the 5th year by the Cultural and Educational Association of Pityos “Makellos” in collaboration with the “Pityos – Proorismos” (Pityos – Destination) Social Cooperative Enterprise” and the Chios Shepherds’ Association “Saint Mamas”.
In the studio of “Voice of Greece” will be the singer Sofia Papazoglou and two members of the band “Xefrago Abeli“, who are participating in the celebration.
Author Giannis Makridakis will participate in the show by telephone. He will talk about the folklore recording of livestock breeding tradition and will refer to the testimonies of shepherds who grew up and live in Pityos and the mountain.
