The Adventures of Greek Borders 1830-1947 | 07 Sept. 2024, 13:00

Few know that the Greece we recognize today was formed gradually. From the establishment of the Greek state in 1830 to the final annexation of the Dodecanese in 1947, Greece’s borders were shaped over time.
On Saturday’s “Historical Walks,” Professor Kostis Tsitselikis from the Department of Balkan, Slavic, and Oriental Studies at the University of Macedonia will be discussing the adventures of Greek borders.
In this journey, Kostis Tsitselikis will discuss Greek sovereignty and borders, focusing on postage stamps. As he explains, these stamps are not merely collectibles but historical documents reflecting the changes in Greek sovereignty and borders over time.
