Achilles never backs down. He is brave. He does things that he considers heroic. Others, especially his own family, are not so sure that Achilles has much in common with that other Achilles of the Trojan War.

Whatever he does always ends badly for him. He always gets into trouble and never learns his lesson. Until one event leads him to understand that a child can’t act recklessly. And that’s why, after that episode, he finally wised up… (from the book’s back cover synopsis).

The short story “Brave Achilles” from the legendary series of children’s stories “Treasures from Diaplasis of Children” by Grigorios Xenopoulos is being presented this Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 17:00 to 18:00 Athens time, on the show “Narratives – Stories and Tales for Young and Old Children” on ERT’s global radio, “Voice of Greece”.
