Paola Maria Minucci is this week’s “Remarkable Personality” on Voice of Greece | 18 Jan. 2025, 16:00

On Saturday, January 18, 2025, Mina Ralli welcomes Paola Maria Minucci to the show “Remarkable Personalities”. Minucci is a professor of Modern Greek Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy at La Sapienza University in Rome.

The esteemed Italian translator and literary critic shares how her love for the Greek language and culture was born and how she decided to dedicate herself to translating the poetry collections of Greece’s greatest poets.

She talks about her passion for Constantine Cavafy, which led her to translate all his poems into Italian, her acquaintance with Odysseas Elytis, and her friendships with Kiki Dimoula and Ioulita Iliopoulou.
