Composer Michalis Nikoloudis once told my friend and colleague Makis Gartzopoulos the following: “Instrumental music is a part of the discography that I have been serving for several years. It is of great interest, because you are addressing a world that, in addition to songs, also listens to instrumentals and I believe that, when there is no lyrics, music can communicate with the listener more deeply. Everyone who listens to an instrumental piece imagines and creates their own scenario. If you can move your listener, the emotion that you fuel is profound. From time to time I also write songs, but I mainly deal with the composition of instrumentals. I think I have a certain audience that follows me, so I am artistically satisfied”.
