Tribute to Xenofon Tsiounis, a leading figure in Trikala’s folk music | 27 Feb. 2026, 15:00

On Friday, 27 February 2026, at 15:00 (Greece time), the Voice of Greece program “The Elves of Tradition” with Maria Koutsimpiri presents a special tribute to Xenofon Tsiounis, one of the foremost exponents of Trikala’s rich folk music heritage.

The acclaimed singer will be in Studio B of Greek Radio, joined by young musicians from Western Thessaly:
• Giorgos Koltsidas on clarinet
• Christos Poulios on violin
• Konstantinos Papadimitriou and Giannis Seretis on laouto

Also participating in the discussion is social anthropologist Giannis Kaïs.
