On Friday, July 24, 2026, at 15:00 Athens time, the program “The Elves of Tradition” presents the first part of a special tribute to the great musical families of Epirus.
The guest is renowned Epirus folk singer Savvas Siatras, who takes listeners on a journey through the villages of Epirus and introduces the family lineages of the musicians who shaped the region’s unique musical tradition. Through personal memories and firsthand experiences, he highlights the history and legacy of celebrated musical families, including the Chalkias, Kapsalis, Charisiadis, Chaligiannis, Rountas, Brachopoulos, Tziumas, and many others.
The tribute will continue in future broadcasts, featuring distinguished traditional instrumentalists from Epirus.
