A tribute to the great rebetiko musician Giorgos Mouflouzelis, who wrote songs that became true anthems, including “Ego den echo vgalei to scholeio” (“I Never Finished School”), a song that essentially told the story of his own life.
Born into poverty in Mytilene, Mouflρεouzelis remained humble throughout his life. He was loved by many and built a lasting legacy around his name.
Authentic and romantic, he stood the test of time and resisted changing trends. He also scored a landmark success in Greek recording history with the platinum album “50 Chronia Rebetiko Tragoudi” (“50 Years of Rebetiko Song”), the first platinum record in Greek music history.
