Some artists go beyond a single form of expression to create an entire aesthetic world of their own.
On this episode of “Voices and Music”, we met Danai Simou, an interdisciplinary artist who moves effortlessly between music, poetry, photography, video, and the visual arts. She creates atmospheric soundscapes blending lo-fi and chamber elements, exploring identity, desire, and human relationships with rare honesty and emotional vulnerability.
With her debut EP, “New Moon”, recorded live in her living room, she charted the stages of love and loss. She complemented the music with photography books and handmade publications that traveled from Albania to Taiwan.
From photography and poetry to piano composition and jewelry design, Danai shows that art is a living organism, forever seeking catharsis and redemption.
