10 + 10 Political Songs in the USA | 22 Nov. 2024, 13:00

Does political music still exist in the United States?

With this thought-provoking question as a starting point, ERT journalist Thomas Sideris presents a podcast featuring 20 political songs — ten from the final quarter of the 20th century and ten from the first quarter of the 21st.

These songs mark the transition between two centuries, two eras that, despite their differences, share the same fears, demands, and struggles. Part of the “Unguarded Passage” series, this episode highlights music that speaks to issues like social justice, racism, xenophobia, and labor exploitation.
