Christos Bokoros on “Our Town” | 08 July 2024, 19:00

As a guest in the studio, the important painter and intellectual will tell us that “we have abandoned our cultural roots, the elementary and the obvious, that there is no bloodless, untamed and painless life”. Even the fact that “we are unprepared by the education of peace, that we are gazing at alien goods and ideas”.

The show will refer to his rich, beloved and award-winning work, his texts, his powerful reflections, Plato, Camus. Christos Bokoros will talk to us about moderation and excellence, but also about the deconstruction of institutions and the state by us, while at the same time asking for their care, for the rightism as a phenomenon of our time.

In a dialectical discussion with Themis Rodamitis, it will be heard that “fairy tales alone save us from reality”. Reference will be made to his birthplace Agrinio, to the place where he lives and creates now, Castella, to his special relationship with his mother.
