Dr. Ioannis Patiniotis – aka Dr. Truth – on “Saturday Shift” | 18 Jan. 2025, 08:00

Dr. Ioannis Patiniotis (aka Dr. Truth), CFO of a major shipping company, Chairman of the Expert Committee on Shipping of the EKO of New Democracy, Vice President of the Life Line charity foundation under Princess Katherine of Serbia, academic researcher in Human Resources, founder of the unique SHIPScraft method for quantifying soft skills, author, and poet, joins “Saturday Shift“, the weekend special edition of the show “Fair Winds and Following Seas” on Voice of Greece this Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 8:00 AM (Athens time).

He takes us on a journey to his beloved Piraeus, reflecting on his childhood there and its current state. He discusses trends, thoughts, and achievements in Greek shipping during the age of Artificial Intelligence and highlights the value of the skills possessed by today’s maritime professionals.

Dr. Truth encourages young people to keep reading and not settle for just one degree, emphasizing that global developments and technology, including in shipping, evolve rapidly and won’t wait for anyone.

On Artificial Intelligence, he notes:
“AI will never become human. If it did, then humans would become gods, which is impossible. So, let’s not fear this new tool that aids us in our daily lives.”

He also explains the Ship Scrap method, how the idea originated, and its applications in the maritime industry.

Tune in to Voice of Greece for an intriguing radio journey filled with the scents of the sea, ships, Piraeus, technology, and the future.
