This Saturday, 20 June 2026, Voice of Greece’s “Fair Winds and Following Seas – Saturday Shift”, hosted by Antonis Karagiannakis, welcomes three promising young people preparing for careers in the maritime industry.
The guests are Antonis Manesis from Zakynthos and Orestis Koularis from Andros, both third-year Marine Engineering cadets, and Sofia Kouneli from Karystos, Evia, a third-year Deck Officer cadet. All three are students at the Aspropyrgos Merchant Marine Academy.
They talk about their dreams and ambitions, their concerns and expectations regarding life at sea, their studies, and developments in the maritime sector. They also share what inspired them to pursue careers in the Merchant Marine and how they made the decision to dedicate their future to the sea.
